The DJI Mic 2 is our fast wireless kit, with onboard recording built into each transmitter. It gets a subject mic'd in under a minute, which matters on wedding days and busy commercial sets.

Wireless audio that sets up in under a minute.
The DJI Mic 2 is a two-transmitter, one-receiver wireless system built around speed. The transmitters pair automatically when they come out of the charging case, they clip on magnetically or with a standard clip, and each one weighs 28 grams, which is light enough that a subject forgets it is there. When we have ten minutes to mic two people and start rolling, this is what comes out of the bag.
The reason we trust it beyond convenience is that each transmitter is also a recorder. There is 8 GB of internal storage in every unit, so while the receiver is feeding the camera, the transmitter is independently capturing the same performance to its own file. If the wireless link drops behind a concrete wall, if someone unplugs the receiver, if the camera stops recording without anyone noticing, the audio still exists on the transmitter. That backup has saved more takes than any other feature on the device.
32-bit float on the body.
Those internal recordings can be captured in 32-bit float, which means a transmitter's file carries enormous headroom. A subject who suddenly raises their voice does not clip the backup track, and a subject who mumbles can be lifted afterward without the noise floor coming up with them. It does not excuse careless gain staging on the live feed to camera, but it does mean the safety copy is genuinely safe. On top of that, a Safety Track mode records a second, quieter copy at -6 dB, which is a second layer of insurance against a level spike.
Where it fits, and where it does not.
It excels at run-and-gun and at two-person dialogue. The transmitters have built-in microphones, which is good enough for a lot of work, and a 3.5 mm TRS input on each transmitter lets us plug in a proper lavalier when the subject needs to be miked discreetly under clothing rather than wearing a visible box. Intelligent noise cancelling can pull a voice out of a noisy trade show floor when the alternative is nothing usable.

For a controlled interview with a full crew, we would still put a boomed shotgun on the subject and run the wireless as a second source. The Mic 2 is a system that guarantees usable audio quickly and reliably in conditions that would defeat a boom, and that is exactly the job we give it.
